Revived with red meat
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, is that my diet has changed so many things for me, when it came to my body. I’m not talking about intermediate fasting or skipping a meal. I’ve implemented eating steak on a weekly basis. And this has done wonders for my period, my glute growth and my energy levels. Coming from somebody who’s also recovering from a burn-out.
A good piece of steak can prevent those cramps you have during your period. Combined with half an avocado and two fried eggs, it’s literally a game changer after your work-out. I’m not making a steak sandwich cause any time of bread causes me to feel and look bloated so I just keep it simple. What I also add on my plate is 2 pieces of fruit and some vegetables. This can be broccolini, asparagus or sated spinach. Whenever I’m not having my snack plate, I prepare a medium rare steak for myself.
Iron deficiency is common for us women, due to the large amounts of blood we lose during our monthly menstrual, which can lead to fatigue, feeling weak and anemia. Of course we can take supplements but a more natural way is getting the things our body needs through our food. Steak contains heme iron, which is the most easily absorbed form of iron by the body.
As I mentioned before, it does wonders after a glute work-out, and that is because steak is a prime source of complete protein. It helps me a lot with managing my weight, muscle mass and my energy levels. Either make yourself a ‘protein portion plate’ or a ‘balanced bowl’, depending how much time you have and get ready to enjoy your new found source of energy.
